We are often asked at Camilleri Berries about the difference between organic and "spray-free" products, and that is certainly a very confusing subject! and most people believe, "clean" or "organic certified" doesn't mean "spray-free," "pesticide-free" or "insecticide-free." Throughout Australia, the process of producing and manufacturing certification organically is very long. Farmers must ensure that their agricultural methods and the management of their land meet the strict requirements of organic certification. It involves ensuring, among other criteria, that physical, biological, and mechanical controls are mainly used to control pests and that any substances used to protect their goods from pests and insects are certified by Australian Certified Organic (ACO). All of our products are Organic and Spray Free. Most producers who make organic claims for their products circumvent the certification process with little more than self-declarations, their organic percentage, or protection claims for ingredients. Certification is necessary because this means the customer has independently checked all product statements. A 'certified organic' label on food and cosmetics acts as a guarantee that a product has been tested and verified by an approved body. Always Look for the term 'certified organic' and certified logos
